Buy "Insurgent" Tickets Now and watch the Final Trailer
Insurgent tickets go on sale today! Insurgent, the new sequel to the movie Divergent, is being released on March 20th. Contrary to the highly successful franchise The Hunger Games, which has pulled in $678,773,965 worldwide theaters, and has earned $215,691,475 on DVD and Blu-Ray inside the United States. The first movie of the Divergent franchise, however, has only made $286,347,895 worldwide in theaters, and $53,907,182 in domestic DVD and Blu-Ray sales. Lionsgate's promotion team is working hard to advertise Insurgent, however, so things should be looking a little upbeat for the series, especially with the new Samsung Gear VR partnership.
You can buy movie tickets for Insurgent here, which will lead you to either Fandango or MovieTickets.
Also, on the other hand, the last and final trailer for Insurgent has been released! After watching it a few times, I've noticed the actress Octavia Spencer! If any of you watched Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place growing up, you might recognize her as Dr. Evilini! Anyway, that's off topic. The trailer, once again, has changes from the book (which apparently Veronica Roth approves of), but overall, it looks nice. I feel like Insurgent just hasn't the catch, the umph for marketing. A great example is Mockingjay Part One. Same company, but great marketing. They had numerous partnerships, including Samsung, Mazda, etc., and everything was connected. I feel as though this one isn't, there aren't cool commercials such as Mazda car commercials being interrupted by Beetee. (Nothing can top that (; ) Anyway, watch the trailer below!
