The Hunger Games Theme Park

Lionsgate has recently announced that they have reached an agreement with Dubai Parks and Resorts, and will be opening a "Lionsgate zone" at the four-million square foot Hollywood-themed Motiongate Dubai Park. It will feature rides based on The Hunger Games novels and movies and will also feature live shows based on the Step Up dance movies. It is set to open October 2016.

Lionsgate has originally opened up about thinking of theme park attractions for The Hunger Games franchise in late 2013. Last summer, they said that they were in talks with theme parks in four continents across the world.

The Hunger Games franchise has made over $2 billion dollars for Lionsgate, and since the reveal of The Hunger Games: Exhibition, we have been anticipating a release of a theme park. We'll just have to wait and see.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, the last installment in the series, will be released in November this year in theaters, starring Oscar-winning Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth.
